If something's seriously wrong with your pet, the fastest path to help is usually a phone call — to us during the day, or to one of our trusted partners after hours.
Call us first if we're open. During business hours, we handle most emergencies in-house, so your pet is seen by a team that already knows their history. Call 1-609-426-0155.
Signs that need immediate attention:
- Difficulty breathing or choking
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Suspected poisoning or eating something toxic
- Collapse, seizures, or sudden inability to stand
- Repeated vomiting or straining without producing anything (especially in cats — this can signal a blockage)
- A bloated, hard abdomen, especially in large-breed dogs
- Any trauma from a fall, car accident, or fight with another animal
If your pet is showing any of these signs and we're closed, please don't wait until morning — call one of the after-hours emergency hospitals below right away.
